Good Morning All,
I would like to the opinion of my fellow coders for some back up on this one.
In our office we do quite a bit of HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). In your opinion, to adequitly describe "a menopausal woman in a climacteric state who has surgical absence of her uterus and cervix, but retained her ovaries for obvious hormonal reasons" but again, she now needs HRT because her ovaries are no longer giving her adequate coverage.
I feel the following codes decribe her situation: 627.2, V88.01....but would love some back up...does anyone have a better way to describe this situation?
(I am feeling at this point that the 627.4 isn't the best fit since she retained her hormone producing ovaries....)
