Pre/post op diagnosis
Contusion to distal phalanx of the left ring finger and the left long finger with avulsion of the nail of the left long finger.
Operative procedure
Irrigation and debridement of the nail bed left long finger
Decompression of the nail bed left index finger
Placement of the nail of the left long finger to protect the nail bed and splint the digit
Repair of a small laceration distal end of the left long finger
I have;
86.09 11740 F2
86.59 12001 F1
96.59
My question is; should I add -59 to 12001 or does F1 negate the need?
