Does anyone know why in the CPT Guidelines, code 52351 has underneath it "(For radiological supervision and interpretation, use 74485)"
When I look this code (74485) up in the guidelines, the only thing it refers to is "Dilation of nephrostomy, utreters, or urethra, radiological supervision and interpretation"
52351-52356 have nothing to do with dilation. *confused*
When looking up 74485 on the AMA website CodeManager, all it refers to is 50395, "Introduction of guide into renal pelvis and/or ureter with dilation to establish nephrostomy tract, percutaneous"
So.....has anyone ever used 74485 with 52351-52356??
And if so, could I ask where you found that you could use these codes in this manner?
*really confused*
Thanks, Allana
