Wiki 52204 w/51700?

Doctor is billing 52204, cystourethroscopy w/biopsy & 51700, bladder irrigation. Have tried billing 51700 w/mod 51 but it's still not being paid. Would 52005 be a better code than 51700? If not, how should it be coded?

The work of the bladder irrigation (51700) is inclusive to the 52204 Cysto-biopsy. The service you describe is what is represented by the CPT codes correctly. A modifier is not allowed to override the NCCI edits between the two services.

You can only report the 52204 CPT code.
