Good Morning,
I have a provider who uses the firefly to verify the patient's anatomy, but no films/pictures are taken. He states that he believes this constitutes a 47563, and I was taught that in order to bill that code there has to be more documentation than just the op note "Firefly immunofluorescent cholangiogram was then performed. Cystic duct and cystic artery were visualized without any aberrant anatomy. There was immunofluorescent filling seen proximally in the biliary tree and distally into the duodenum "
Anyone want to weigh in?
Thanks
