Wiki 447.9 clarification

Does this code encompass carotids? I have a provider who is coding this for carotid atherosclerosis. I disagree as I believe code 433.10 is applicable to carotid vascular disease. Am I correct?

I believe that the 433.10 is the best suited code due to the unspecified nature of the 447.9
