When is it appropriate to report 44110 with 44140 in the same session? Is there certain documentation guidelines that need to be mentioned or are these always bundles? Thanks..

The documentation would need to support that the procedures were separate...at different sections of the bowel. Then you could bill both, with a -59 on the 44110.
If your surgeon removed a lesion then decided he better just take a segment of bowel at that same spot, then onlt the 44140 would be billable.
