Please help; I am still studying for my certifications but have been coding in a family practice for a while - I'm a bit stuck on this one.... Will a 433.10 (Occlusion and stenosis of carotid artery without mention of cerebral infarction), be linked to 93000 (EKG)? I believe so, though I am not 100% certain.

Thanks in advance for your help! I am so looking forward to learning more & becoming certified :)

93000 with 433.10

Based on the Medicare LCD that I have code 433.10 wouldn't be a payable diagnosis for an EKG. I am not sure what you mean by 'linked' but for payment under Medicare guidelines that most payers follow it would not be payable. Hope this helps!
