Lately my claims for 43249 dx K22.2 and 43239 modifier 59 dx K29.60. They are being denied with BCN and BCBS stating these two codes cannot be billed together as its no longer on the NCCI edits. I can't find this information anywhere. I've been billing EGD's with a 59 modifier for almost 10 years now and have never found this issue. PLEASE HELP

I would try to rebill with XS mod on 43239 as it is a separate site gastric since dilation was esophagus.
x mods are more specific than the 59 and certain states for bc/bs take them. Let me know if it works!
