Where can I find documentation that the -90 modifier should go on the lab charge and not the venipunture. I have a doc who wants to use -90 modifier after we draw blood in the clinic and then send it to an outside lab. We are getting denials for the but, the doc thinks it is correct. If you know where there is documentation that I can show the doc, that would be very helpful. Thanks for all of your help.

The federal register states what you want. Do google look up for CPT modifier 90 you should get what you need.
