Provider submitted 30117 & 30801. I'm going to have to query him because I don't believe that he documented enough and is not clear (at least to me). I wanted to run it by the forum first. Thank you...
Procedure Performed:
Bilateral intranasal ablation of posterior nasal nerves
Indication:
Chronic vasomotor rhinitis
Procedure Note:
The patient was taken to the minor procedure room and placed on the procedure room table in a supine position. Following this local anesthesia was applied to the nasal cavity on both sides.
The Vivaer DR frequency probe was used to create mucosal lesions at the posterior aspect of the inferior turbinate and in the posterior middle meatus bilaterally. After doing a few lesions the patient became increasingly uncomfortable and it was decided to complete this procedure under general anesthesia.
