per Medicare 29823 IS bundled into 29826, a lot of payors do follow Medicare guidelines. However, you can bill together IF debridement was done in different "area" of shoulder like inside the glenohumeral joint for debridement of labrum, chonroplasty of humeral head ect....., you would have to put mod 59 on it- assuming you have the supporting documentation.

We bill this frequently and I review the dictation to make sure the provider has used a separate incision or port to identify that this is separately reportable(normally in the glenohumeral joint). I then use 59,51 on the 29823 to make sure it gets paid. For the most part these do go through without a problem for my group here in WA.
