Post Op: Left shoulder labral tear with Impingement
Time-out was completed and preop antibiotics confirmed, and a three-portal arthroscopic technique revealed an obvious anterior labral tear. The superior portion of the tear was still firmly attached and just a peripheral tear was treated with debridement up into about the 9 o'clock position, which was completely detached and repaired using a single Pushlock anchor into anatomic alignment after the surface had been abraded and prepared for anchor placement and healing.
Labral tears have always been confusing to me. There is not much dictation to go on, I am confused because he states the superior portion of the tear was attached, so would that make this a Type 2 SLAP tear? Thank You!
