Wiki 28288 and 64704

I recently received a denial for code 64704 saying that it is included in 28288. I have checked CCI edits and there are none for these codes. Has anyone know anything about these codes being bundled and where can i find it in writing that neuroplasty is included in ostectomy? Any help is appreciated!

The only thing I can come up with is the reason for the ostectomy? Was the ostectomy done to relieve the compression on the nerve? I would check my documentation and make sure they are two completely separate issues and then appeal if you feel they are correct. If the ostectomy was done to relieve the compression, then they would probably be inclusive. Just my opinion. Any other takers?

I tend to agree with Anna, a look at the op note might tell us something.
