There is a patient with diagnoses M79.A21 and M79.A22, one for each side of the body.
The procedure 27602 was performed bilaterally.
I am trying to figure out if I report the CPT on one line with a 50 mod and list both dx codes (I think this is correct), or if I assign each dx to two separate lines and append RT and LT instead.
I know that the 50 mod is used as a financial indicator.
What do you recommend?
