Wiki 27447 & 27335

Just wondering if anyone billed a total knee replacement along w/a synovectomy? I fellow coder stated that the synovectomy is an actual process of the 27447...CCI states w/the appropriate allowed mod it may be billed together......open to any feedback....Thanks!

It is incidental to the 27447. Unless your Dr. went over and above the norm, and in that case I would add a -22 modifier and send the documentation to prove it.
