Wiki 27130 with 27236

This is going to sound like a really stupid question but please bear with me. I need to know if you can bill 27236 with 27130. The carrier denied this as 27236 being mutually exclusive to 27130 which makes sense to me since it is a total hip replacement and it would seem that 27236 would be part of 27130. Please let me know if I am correct in my thinking so I will know whether to appeal this denial. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
