Wiki 24 Modifier - Patient had leep 3/4/16

Patient had leep 3/4/16, now needs a hysterectomy. Is scheduled for hyst on 4/4/16 which is unfortunately within the 90 day global for the leep. Has anyone had any luck filing with BCBS in this sort of situation and just applying a 24 modifier to the hyst code?

modifier 24 is for e/m codes you would prob need a 58/78/79 - staged, related or unrelated

You're totally right I lost my mind a little. It should be a 79.
