Wiki 24 hour Urgent Care Question

We have a 24 hr Urgent care and are looking for information on how to bill when the care crosses dates of service and multiple providers? I know it will be OP E/M codes (99201-99215), however what day is billed on and how do we determine the provider if more than one treated them? Any help (with specific references please) would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you would bill the E&M with the DOS the patient was first seen even if it spans into the next day. Most carriers wont pay more than 1 E&M regardles of how many people saw the patient while they were there.
