Can someone please tell me the proper cpt code to bill for a pt who had fetal demise at 22 weeks. She was induced and delivered vaginally. She only had a total of 4 prenatal visits. Thanks you in advance for your input.
It is my understanding that according to ACOG, after 20.0 weeks you can bill the global OB codes with the appropriate diagnosis. Prior to that it is considered a surgical abortion. Since the patient was seen at least four times that also qualifies for the billing of the global codes. Hope this helps.
