Wiki 2021 books

I personally like the AAPC Procedural Coding Expert over the AMA CPT book. Optum360 also publishes books, but I do prefer the AAPC version. I just wish shipping wasn't so expensive!
My opinion is that unless you require the AMA CPT for an exam, there is no reason to buy it. The AAPC book contains additional information (RVUs, global period, etc). It's also about $50 cheaper.
My employer also provides Codify (formerly SuperCoder) access. I do find an online coding resource helpful, whether Codify or another product. Much of the information there is also available elsewhere for free (like CMS website), but it takes me 8 seconds to look up a CCI edit vs 10 minutes. Codify also comes with some CEUs available.
I have purchased the specialty reference guides here & there, but with the AAPC CPT and online coding software, I just don't think it's necessary. Maybe buy one every 5 years or so.
