29880 and 29881 are changing to include chondoplasty.

This is apparently only for medicare as of now according to the meeting i just attended. Others will likely follow. It was recommended to code for privates as previously done until they change their policy.

Has anyone heard anything like this as well?

I belive the 29880 and 29881 is a CPT/AMA rule...so it would account for all ins co's...

It is not just for Medicare. The codes them selves are changing to include the chondroplasty, therefore it will be effective for all providers for all payers as of January 1.

J code for injection help

The ortho office I just started working for injects xyocaine/marcaine/depo-medrol into bursa joints. Can I bill For all three and if so, what j code do I use? Cpt 20610
