Hi,

1 OB/GYN Physician delivered a baby c/s and the delivery assistant was another OB/GYN physician from the same medical group because the residents were in a lecture.

My question is, can they be reimbursed for both of their delivery services?
I was thinking: 59510, 22 for increased procedural services.

Any thoughts on this?

One physician will bill as the primary surgeon and the other surgeon is an assistant surgeon. It does not warrant billing for increased services with a modifier 22. You may use modifier 82 when a resident is not available or you may use modifier 80 for the assistant.
