Wiki 2 consult billed within 30days to Medicaid

can someone give me insight on how to bill my 2nd consult ....
what happen is my doc did a consult on 12/1/11 pt d/c on 12/5/11 but return back to the hosp with a new admit on 12/10/11 and he did another consult on 12/10/11 ...but Medicaid is denying the 2nd one because they said they do not pay for 2 consult within a 30day period. How would I code the 12/10/11 consult?

If your Medicaid carrier does not allow a second consult in this time frame and this is a new admission, I would rebill it as initial hospital care, provided your doc is rendering services that the admitting physician is not.
