Patient had a procedure done at the ASC then was admitted inpt the same day..Am I correct in thinking that the hospital admission and procedure are both not billable for the same dos ?

The procedure was done in the ASU therefore for the surgery POS is OP. Your surgery has to match the Hospital Charges for the ASU

If you admit the patient after the surgery then you can bill the admit code 99222 as IP POS with 25 or 57 modifier dx codes should be why the patient is being admitted which is different than the surgery dx.
