...The patient did have a bulge just inferior and right of the umbilicus, this was still present. Therefore, an incision was made along previous ifraumbilical incision. This was carried down to the level of the fascia with a blunt and electrodissetion. It was found that this bulge was being created by an overgrowth of SCAR TISSUE. Some of the scar tissue was REMOVED, taking care not to create fascial defect. The fascia in this area was directly injected with 0.5% Marcaine and the incision was reaproximated with 3-0 Vicryl.
