    Hey all, I'm cross posting this for more visibility. I've got a provider who really doesn't want to document obesity, morbid obesity, etc. in the notes because of how it's interpreted by patients. They also believe that it's outdated nomenclature and don't want to document it for that reason...

    Hello, I have a provider who is consistently using Localized adiposity: E65 for their "central obesity" dx. These include people with BMIs ranging from 29+ (currently coding for a 37, and yes, she did dx a BMI 29 with obesity instead as overweight). My question is if this could affect anything...
