Can anyone tell me what the rules are for coding excision of cholesteatoma/polyp with an ear procedure such as a myringoplasty? There are no ncci edits with cpt code 69610 and 69540. But since it is happening in the same ear, I wasn't sure if an excision of a polyp would be included in the...

Wiki Myringoplasty and foreign body removal

The doctor removed a foreign body in the ear and did a myringoplasty since the foreign body caused a tympanic membrane perforation. Can I code 69610 with 69205? I don't see anything in the NCCI edits that I can't but I'm unsure if I can since it is in the same ear? Any thoughts? Thanks!
