In this procedure the provider fixes two of the broken malleoli of the ankle that is the lateral and medial malleoli, or the lateral and posterior malleoli, or the medial and posterior malleoli. He performs the repair by nonsurgically adjusting the alignment of the broken bones. The provider generally performs this procedure on an unstable fracture, which requires manipulation.
