In this procedure, the provider fixes two of the broken malleoli bones of the ankle that is the lateral and medial malleoli, or the lateral and posterior malleoli, or the medial and posterior malleoli. He repairs the broken bones without the need for an open incision. The provider generally performs this procedure on stable fractures, which do not require manipulation.
