New Conversion Factor Is $38

Medicares fee schedule for 2001 contains some great news for urologists: a new conversion factor of $38. This is two dollars higher than last years. The conversion factor, multiplied by a codes relative value unit, gives you the Medicare fee. The relative value of a code is the total of physician work, practice overhead and malpractice expenses.
