New York Subscriber
Answer: The Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) edits for July of 1999 are only current for treatment dates within the period specified. For example, when filing claims from Jan. 1, 2000 through May 14, 2000, you should refer to Version 6.0.
Version 6.1 applies to treatment dates from May 15 through June 30, and Version 6.2 applies to treatment dates from July 1 through September 30.
Treatment dates between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 will fall under Version 6.3 of the CCI.
