Correction:

Graft Harvest/Insertion With 25447

The February 2003 Orthopedic Coding Alert article "Rule of Thumb: 25447 Includes Trapezium Excision" should have stated that Global Service Data for Orthopaedic Surgery, published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), does not include harvesting and insertion of tendon or fascial graft as components of 25447 (Arthroplasty, interposition, intercarpal or carpometacarpal joints), and you therefore can report it separately.
