In Orthopedic Coding Alert Vol.14, N.5, page 30, we reported the following: "In addition, 29515 (Application of short leg splint [calf to foot]) may be coded." This should have been stated as follows: "Since global fracture treatment codes include application of the initial splint or cast, you do not report 29515 (Application of shortleg splint (calf to foot)) with 27752."
