Must M0090 Dates Match Visits?

Q: Must the date recorded in M0090 always coincide with the date of a home visit? A: M0090 is the date the assessment is completed, which usually coincides with a home visit for the start of care, resumption of care, follow-up or discharge assessment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services instructed in questions and answers from the 2003 OASIS Educators Conference. But the transfer or death at home assessments probably will be dated when the agency learns of the transfer or death, rather than coinciding with a home visit, CMS added.
