Resubmit These HHA Claims RejectedWith Reason Code 38308, MAC Instructs

Examine your claims rejected with reason code 38308. HHH MAC “National Government Services has identified a system issue with some home health demand claims,” it says in an email to providers. “Claims properly submitted with condition code 20 were not suspending for ADR; however, were rejecting with claim level reason code 38308.”
Do this: Providers should “resubmit any re-jected demand claims without going through the ADR process, (i.e., your agency did not receive a request for medical records and the demand claim was not reviewed by Medical Review),” the MAC says. “If the RAP has been cancelled by the system, providers should resubmit the RAP and demand claim.
