Hospices Forge Ahead With Facility Development
Published on Fri Jan 28, 2011
An uncertain reimbursement future isn't putting the brakes on hospice facility growth. For example: Rowan Regional Medical Center is asking the Salisbury, N.C. city planning board for permission to build a 14-bed Rowan County Hospice facility, reports the Salisbury Post. And Jacksonville, Fla.-based Haven Hospice plans to proceed with state-approved plans to build an 18-bed inpatient facility in the Orange Park area, reports The Florida Times-Union. In order for the Haven Hospice facility to proceed, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida agreed to drop its appeal of Haven Hospice's Certificate of Need, the Times-Union adds.
