In the CEDC Online Training Course, you will learn how to apply the correct ICD-10-CM, CPT®, HCPCS Level II codes, and modifier assignment when reporting emergency department (ED) services and procedures.

Education and experience requirements
At least two years of emergency department coding experience and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology are required to successfully complete this course. AAPC offers the following prerequisites:
Fundamentals of Medicine — covers all three of the prerequisites below.
Anatomy (self-paced instruction), Medical Terminology (self-paced instruction), and Pathophysiology (self-paced instruction).
Course length
Self-paced: Average time to completion is 4 hours (not including additional study time). Access available for one year from purchase date.
Continuing education units (CEUs)
Receive 4 CEUs on successful completion. One-time use only.
