Mastering G2211: Navigate the New Add-On Code for Complex Patient Visits

Video

CMS introduced the G2211 code in 2023, with payment starting in February 2024. Right now, Medicare is the main payer for this code, but CMS hasn’t provided clear documentation requirements, causing a lot of confusion and concerns about audits. Many are still unsure what qualifies as a “single, serious condition” or “complex condition” and what steps to take to use this add-on code correctly with E/M services.

Watch the webinar replay as AAPC expert Leonta Williams provides clarity on these questions and gives insights on:

  • Key points on audit risks

  • Step-by-step guidance on billing for G2211

  • Examples of required documentation and modifiers

  • How to ensure your team is on track with documentation and billing
