Wiki OBGYN Split billing Antepartum/Delivery/Pst partum provided by same dr. different tax

I currently work for an OBGYN office that has been purchased by another company, currently we were billing the OB Packages(that included ante partum, delivery and post partum) all 3 provided by the same physician, the Company that has take over want to split bill the ante partum and delivery charges using 2 different tax id# even though services will be provided by the same physician. Can we bill this way using 2 tax id#?

I have gone through this same situation. My physicians went from private practice to healthcare corp. Even though same providers are being seen the Tax IDs are different. So we had to bill the antepartum visits under one tax ID and then wait for delivery to bill the remaining antepartum visits with delivery/postpartum charges.
