I am extremely frustrated! I have 3 Midwives that have moved from one location and now reside w/ our company. They have had several of their patients follow them from point A to point B. The patient have ONLY seen the Midwives their whole entire pregnancy. Wouldn't I be able to bill them globally? They have all been seen more than 4 times antepartum, delivered and postpartum. I would think this constitutes as a global fee w/ a M52 for reduced services.

Please help!!

No, you can't bill it globally-I know it only makes sense that the provider get the whole thing, but insurances don't work that way. They pay basically by tax ID so the prior office gets part of the global and you get the rest. You can bill the 59425 or 59426, and then delivery w/postpartum care code (59410 etc). Sorry :(
