Does Medicare allow more than one nursing home E & M per month?m One of my physicians has 2 visits in one week.

Yes they can. If the patient has a health issue going on. We had a patient that was seen 3 times with in a 10 day period. Billed and was paid for all three visits. First visit was his 60 day visit, then nursing home called and physician stopped by for shortness of breath and adjusted medicine, went back a couple days later for another health issue. Patient ended up being an admit a few days later. They can't pop in once a week just to check on a patient, but if there is a current health issue going on yes bill it.
