We have a Dr. who does deliveries and who also has a NP working under her who see's a lot of the Dr's patients for prenatal and postpartum visits. Since the Dr. is the NP's supervisor do the prenatal and postpartum visits get included in the global package for delivery?

We have this same thing within our office as well. We bill globally under the MD that delivers the patient but internally credit the NP a set fee per prenatal visit that she saw the patient after the insurance processes the claim. The patient isn't billed any additional only the global charges.
