I have a new doctor who is wanting to code for "intra-operative frozen section from biopsy" -
He is doing revisions on hips and knees and he is sending the synoviums/membranes to microbiology and pathology for frozen section. - - Is this something that he can even bill for?
I'm thinking this is part of his revision - he isn't doing anything "special" or at a different site for these "biopsies" - it's all remnants from cleaning up the total that is being revised.
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
