Medical billing company seeking medical biller/aging report collection specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate aging report(s)
- Identify and resolve billing complaints
- Prepare, review and send statements
- Perform various collection actions including contacting clients by phone, correcting and re-submitting claims to third party payers
Requirements
Required Skills
- 2-5 years experience in medical billing/collections required
- Surgical medical billing and collections experience is preferred
-Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices including ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS coding
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and patients
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Must be assertive in resolving unpaid claims
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Must be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer support
Salary: $15-$18 hourly/starting pay
