Hello,
If a patient is already in a Global Period and he comes for a follow up and they decide to do another surgery.
Would I code the follow up as a Status Post with a 99024 or a straight e/m code since they are going to do another surgery?
I am thinking we would not change the 99024 since we are still in the first global period. (same injury)
Any help is appreciated.
