I was recently at a seminar where the instrutor indicated that a capsulotomy of the MPJ 28270) is included in a hammertoe correction (28285) according to Medicare.
I can find no description of a hammertoe correction that includes work at the MPJ. I realize the 28270 is a separate procedure.....but it is at a different joint that the hammering of the toe.
