Wiki Fracture and then Closed treatment w/manipulation and cast applied

Hello,

If patient was taken to the OR to have a closed treatment with manipulation of the fracture and a cast applied do you code the follow up apt. as a surgery with a 99024 or as a fracture with a 99024.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

For ICD-10 CM you always use the injury code for the follow up encounters so use the fracture code with a D as the 7th character.
