We are a free standing ASC and have received our slings, crutches, cam shoes, etc from the same company since we have opened and they are just a couple blocks from our ASC. We have provided them diagnosis codes for their billing this whole duration also. Now they are stating the physician needs to supply the ICD 10 code and sign off on the invoice. They state the invoice is "like a prescription" and this started the same time ICD-10 came into effect. My question is has anyone else run into anything like this and is the invoice like a prescription. Would like to hear feedback on this from anyone who supplies DME equipment to patients. Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.
