My question pertains to whether the albumin/creatinine ratio is always included in code 82043 or do you need to bill 82570 with 82043 to indicate the uACR testing was complete.

Thank you. To go a bit further, does 82043 always include both the urine albumin AND creatinine tests, not necessarily the ratio?
Reason I ask, I frequently don't see the 82570 billed for the creatinine. When I pull lab reports for 82043, I see both tests performed. Thank you!

No, 82043 is strictly for urine albumin, quantitative and 82570 is urine creatinine. They can be ordered separately but if you want the ratio both tests have to be completed.
